cvSetCaptureProperty has been broken since opencv1.1 (Bug #1573)
Description
I have been using openCV 1.1 for several years. I'd like to upgrade to a newer version, but the function cvSetCaptureProperty was broken in the upgrade to 2.0 and still hasn't been fixed by version 2.3.1. This function is supposed to be able to set the resolution of captured frames. This problem has apparently been known since 2008 (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14287/increasing-camera-capture-resolution-in-opencv). Can't someone revert to the old version of the file and restore functionality?

I recall it had something to do with compatibility between different platforms and camera dependence... I switched to http://www.muonics.net/school/spring05/videoInput/ for my Windows-only OpenCV programs because of the problems with 'advanced' settings like resolutions.
