Description

What about adding the possibility to have signed short variables in the routines PyrUp and PyrDown in modules/imgproc/src/pyramids.cpp
after line 413 and 433.

since it is possible to convert images from 16s to 16u or 32f without any loss in accuracy, the priority of the enhancement is lowered

Support for short data type was added into these functions before 2.3.0 release.
