class "circle" has moved from Core to Imgproc, breaks backwards compatibility.

Hmm afaik backwards compability is not guaranteed when moving from 2.4 to 3.0 since the complete library got an exhaustive rework done.
I guess we will have to live with adapting small pieces of code to get them to work again. Most stuff will be solvable by including an extra header, like in your case.
