h1. VisionChallenge
OpenCV is launching a community-wide challenge to update and extend the OpenCV library, to accelerate CV innovation. An award pool of $50,000 will be provided to the best performing algorithms for the following 10 CV application building blocks:
* image segmentation,
* image registration,
* human pose estimation,
* SLAM,
* multi-view stereo matching,
* object recognition,
* face recognition,
* gesture recognition,
* action recognition, and
* text recognition.
All participants must agree to publicly release their code under BSD license. Winners must also prepare their code for OpenCV inclusion.
h2. Timeline:
*Submission Period:*
_September 1st 2014 - November 31st 2014_
