Hi Arno nuem,
thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately, we don't have Galaxy Note, so if you could investigate this issue and get back with some additional details (logcat output, etc) on this issue or send a fixing pull request on GitHub (http://www.code.opencv.org/projects/opencv/wiki/How_to_contribute), your help will be much appreciated!

Hi Ivan

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I'm an absolute newbie. A wonder that I could successfully open this ticket ;-)
Can you tell me how to create the needed logcat output and what else is needed? I have just installed "aLogcat (free) - logcat" on my Note. My device is not rooted and because of Samsung KNOX will never be rootet.

Thanks
Arno

I also have this problem. I am also a newbie, but I found this in the logcat when I try to activate the OpenCv library:

So I suspect there is a problem with Open GL. Indeed: when I try Open GL demos, they do not work.

Alexander, do we have a way to reproduce and fix the problem?

It looks like it is the same issue as #3372. We have Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505, but it still has older Android 4.2.2 and does not propose to update it.
What is your version of Android? Do you try to update OpenCV up to 2.4.7? Do you have the same issues with newer release?

  • Affected version changed from 2.4.6 (latest release) to 2.4.0 - 2.4.6

The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 LTE SM-P605 runs Android 4.3. The last working OpenCV I know was OpenCV Manager version 2.9, OpenCV Library version 2.4.6.0 rev 2.
Where can I get OpenCV 2.4.7 to test it?

EDIT:
Already found the download myself. OpenCV 2.4.7 does not work either.

Kind regards
Arno Nuem

Hello Arno nuem,

It looks like I've fixed the issue. Please check that the solution works on your device. Install the attached Manager apk and try any OpenCV sample app with the Manager. Please, do it ASAP. OpenCV 2.4.8 will be released in a few days. We need respond from you.
